BTM UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB is proud to announce an exciting joint venture with TRETHOMAS BLUEBIRDS AFC (Trethomas Bluebirds Youth Football) @TreBluebirdsFC

We as a grassroots football club, have of course in the past looked at the feasibility of creating an additional U17+ structure, but it would have been an immense undertaking and one that was just a bridge too far, for many reasons.

However, both respective clubs have been working very hard and closely during the lockdown periods to establish official links between the two clubs and create a mutually beneficial ongoing Youth Football Pathway for our local community for the 2022/23 season and beyond.

Not only will Trethomas Bluebirds AFC provide the opportunity for local footballers upon successful trials for their Youth Tier football team to play in the Welsh League(s) Pyramid,
they have also committed to striving for the same inclusivity that BTM United FC have always been proud to offer, with a second youth football team.

This opens up further opportunity for BTM Players, where in the past players would unfortunately have to find new Youth football clubs and pathways for themselves, offering a Under-16 season end pathway for players to maintain and push their footballing journey, should they wish to pursue such.

There are various footballing and community benefits being afforded to BTM United FC by Trethomas Bluebirds AFC and this joint venture, and beyond this exciting official press release, we will detail the finer details for all concerned in due course.

What better way for both clubs, our respective management teams and playing age groups to end what has been an incredibly trying and highly unusual season for everybody, everywhere, to sign off the 2020/2021 season with such momentum and excitement for all concerned moving towards next season.
