Club, Coaches, Admins, First Aiders - Protocol Information

As part of the Covid-19 Risk Assessments writing that we're undertaking as a club at present, one of the issues identified was the use of rescue breaths in CPR, should the worse happen and that need to be provided during a club session.

Many of you are probably aware but the national guidelines have now been updated, and have been attached below, so please familiarise yourself with these as a reminder, should this happen.

For clarity, the procedure is;

1) Protect yourself
2) Assess the situation calmly and summon help
3) Assist with the casualty, providing treatment if necessary with help of bystanders
4) Call 999/112 for emergency help
5) Be aware of your own needs/safety

Please also be aware, that in the case of cardiac arrest the best course of action is a defibrillator. These can be found at the Swimming Pool and also on the outside wall of Bedwas Workmens Hall
